Administrative Assistant

Hours: Part-Time (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday) 12-16 hours/week (starting at $17/hour).

Purpose: The Administrative Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our staff leaders by efficiently managing administrative and organizational tasks.

Responsibilities:
  • Attend weekly staff meetings on Mondays compiling comprehensive meeting notes.
  • Maintain detailed inventories of office and ministry supplies, including procurement and organization as needed.
  • Oversee the church-wide calendar to ensure accurate scheduling and coordination.
  • Manage Planning Center including, Registrations, Headcounts, Giving, and People.
  • Participate in annual budget and calendar meetings.
  • Coordinate with repair personnel for facility maintenance and communicate effectively with our cleaning crew.
  • Conduct routine errands, such as bank deposits, post office visits, and returns.
  • Handle correspondence and paperwork for church-wide and ministry-specific events.
  • Coordinate the ordering and collection of print materials.
  • Manage mail distribution and handle the yearly insurance audit.
  • Coordinate with our accounting firm, DIME, for bill payments, invoicing, and bi-monthly payroll.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining the overall organization in physical spaces of the church.
  • Manage the info@thisiscp.church email account.
  • Ultimately help provide comprehensive support to the staff leadership team.

Requirements:
  • A devoted follower of Jesus and active member in an orthodox, Protestant church.
  • Service-oriented, approaching tasks with humility, flexibility, and a willingness to serve others.
  • Proficient with technology, particularly Apple computers, and willing to learn new software
  • such as Planning Center.
  • Comfortable primarily working in-person.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management abilities and the capacity to work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence
