Compassion International

Compassion International is a child sponsorship program that partners with Gospel preaching churches around the world to share the good news of Jesus with the local community. Their motto is “Freeing children from poverty in the name of Jesus.” That is exactly what they do! Child development centers are built onto existing churches, staffed by locals, and serve the children and families in the community. Children that attend the program are provided with education, proper nutrition, medical care, and dental care—ensuring their holistic needs are met. This is all done in the context of the local church where the good news of Jesus is shared with the children and their families.

In 2023, we partnered with Iglesia Nacional Evangélica Los Amigos Church in La Paz, Bolivia to help support and care for the children at their child development center. Our hope is that, in 2025, we will be able to visit our partners in ministry at Los Amigos Church in La Paz and meet the children we are sponsoring. For $43 a month you can sponsor a child at Los Amigos Church. Through the sponsorship you will build relationships with the child by writing letters, receiving updates, and even sending them birthday gifts! We have a unique opportunity to link arms with the global Church to help the Gospel go forward!

Commission 127 exists to empower churches to create much-needed support for foster, adoptive, and biological families in crisis. By developing teams known as FAM’s (Family Advocate Ministries) C127 surrounds foster families with support, love, and prayers and helps to lighten the burden of day to day responsibilities while they pour into children in crisis. If you have ever felt the pull to be a part of the foster care system, but aren’t sure you have the resources or ability to pull it off, this is a great way to be a support to a family who has stepped into this role.

Altamonte Elementary

Altamonte Elementary School is a Title 1 school within walking distance of our campus. With just under 600 students, over 60% qualify for food assistance. 100 children experience food insecurity and receive a bag of groceries every week. There is a lot of opportunity to practically help the teachers and staff at Altamonte Elementary care for the children they serve. There will be more ways to get connected over the next few months, but the first is to volunteer to pack backpacks of groceries for children each week. Whether you can go each week or once a month, the schedule is flexible and the help would be so appreciated. Currently, one staff member and one volunteer help pack 100 bags with groceries every single week. Any extra help would be such a blessing.

Orlando Children's Church

Orlando Children’s Church is a Saturday morning program for underserved youth in the greater Orlando area. Every week, kids from kindergarten through 12th grade come to OCC to have breakfast, spend time with friends and caring volunteers, and learn more about what it means to follow the way of Jesus. We have frequently held giving and supply drives for OCC and encourage anyone looking for a place to serve in a way that would have a significant impact in the lives of local youth to consider Orlando Children’s Church!
